Advising
Mandatory advising is required for all newly admitted Justice and Social Inquiry students, freshmen students (up to 24 earned credits) and readmitted students. Students on academic probation are required to see an advisor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (480-965-6506).
Please call 480-965-7682 to make an in-person or telephone advising appointment. Advisement is also encouraged for Justice Studies minors, BIS with the Justice Studies emphasis and pre-law students.
The College of Liberal Arts and Science, the School of Social Transformation and Justice and Social Inquiry, in conjunction with the Barrett Honors College, provide an honors program for undergraduates of exceptional ability. The program includes special advisement, preferential registration, special courses, and a senior honors thesis.
The advisors in Justice and Social Inquiry are available to help you understand the requirements for graduation but you are responsible for fulfilling them. At the end of your course of study, if requirements for graduation have not been satisfied, the degree is not granted. For this reason, it is important for you to acquaint yourself with all regulations, to be informed throughout your college career and to be responsible for completing requirements.
The academic advisors in Justice and Social Inquiry are:
Miranda Carlton-Carew, Academic Advisor
Daniel Maxey, Academic Advisor
